I’m Sarah O’Donnell, and I’m excited to announce my candidacy for the upcoming Kingston Council election in October. I’d like to thank our current Yammerbook Councillor Tamsin Bearsley for her endorsement and for sharing her insights with me.
My husband and I have called Aspendale home for 24 years, raising our three daughters here. We chose Aspendale for its beaches, unique wetlands, green spaces, shopping, schools, accessibility, and a strong sense of community. It’s truly a special place for us.
I opened the Aspendale Swim School in 2007 and am grateful I’ve been able to teach many generations of kids swimming and water safety while also providing employment opportunities. With many years of experience in owning and managing a small business, I understand the challenges and their important role in our community.
Why am I running for Council?
This community has given my family a safe and nurturing environment, education, employment, sporting opportunities and wonderful friends. I have the time, energy, and experience to actively engage with and advocate for our community. It’s my time to give back.
